| Edgewood offers the finest handcrafted girth on the market today. The top of each girth is manufactured from the same quality cowhide as our strapwork.
Our Girths are available in one- or two-end elastic and split-end. Besides our standard Newmarket color, we also offer our girths in Dark Havana. All girths are available with or without Fancy Stitching.
The interior of our quality girth is constructed from thick, 7/16" felt laid over a length of nylon webbing which is sewn-in to prevent stretching. Sewing the nylon webbing in place adds additional strength to the girth. A nylon-reinforcing strap is sewn into each buckle chape to prevent buckles from tearing.
The inside felt and reinforcing webbing is then covered with an overlay of the highest quality top grain leather and sewn into place with heavy-gauge thread. For our padded girth, we use a soft, plush, pure-white sheepskin. The sheepskin is available either sewn in or removable. Removable fleece are held to the girth with heavy-duty, 3" wide VelcroŽ. Replacement fleece may be purchased for any size girth. See below for styles and sizes
